Christina Thomas is a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist who graduated from Brandman University earning a Master of Arts degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy.
She continued her education in school psychology earning additional educational units about school wide assessments, school supportive services, IEP’s, 504 plans and Behavior Intervention Plans. With a completed ROI by parents, she works closely with school personnel to assist with evidence based practices in order to generalize skills in all environments through your child’s IEP/504.
Additionally, Christina is furthering her education in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and is earning her certification as an Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Christina has over 12 years of experience working with children and adolescents. She specializes in ADHD, Autism, maladaptive behaviors, suicidal ideation/self harm, low self esteem, anger management, depression, anxiety, social skills, trauma and many more. Christina enjoys working with foster care and adoptive families, she is actively practicing as a clinical social worker for an FFA agency and provides services to foster youth and families with a focus on trauma informed care. She is knowledged in the CWS/CPS field. Christina has experience and education working with adults who struggle with depression, general anxiety, relation problems and those who are experiencing life stressors.
Christina’s therapeutic modality focuses on the client-therapist relationship. She creates an individualized treatment plan and supports you through every step to accomplish your personal goals. Christina is current with training, education and applies evidence based interventions to increase/decrease primary symptoms presented. Christina practices CBT, solution focused and strength based treatment to allow healing for the client. She focuses on providing skills in the therapy session that can be generalized into the real world.
