Lavon Head, AMFT, enjoys working with clients of all ages as well as couples and families. She has advanced training in Gottman Couples Therapy and has worked with many couples who find themselves in a negative cycle. By improving communication and finding the deeper meaning behind a problem, she helps couples develop a new approach to their relationship. Lavon also has a special interest in people who are transitioning, as well as those who struggle with addictions. Her strengths lie in her ability to build trust and offer a safe space for her clients to feel accepted and supported. She especially enjoys play therapy with kids and helping teens explore their beliefs about the world.
Lavon holds a Master of Arts degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Brandman University. She has been working in the mental health field since 2017 with experience in drug and alcohol rehabilitation as well as in a private practice setting
