Esmeralda Alvarez, MS, AMFT, brings a wealth of expertise in working with children since 2018, specializing in addressing behavioral challenges and supporting children from military families. When appropriate, she collaborates with schools to develop individualized behavior plans that enhance both the mental well-being and academic success of her young clients.

With a diverse background in various roles within Kings County schools, Esmeralda demonstrates a strong commitment to child and family welfare. She holds an undergraduate degree in teaching and a Master’s in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy. Esmeralda is certified in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, as well as in the treatment of ADHD and personality disorders.

Esmeralda is passionate about working with children, families, and couples, fostering growth and resilience within these core relationships. Outside of her professional endeavors, she enjoys spending time with her family, walking her dogs, horseback riding, and exploring new destinations.
