Kimberly Holzem, M.S., AMFT/APCC
Associate Marriage and Family Therapist
Associate Professional Clinical Counselor
Sometimes relationships feel strained, communication breaks down, or life becomes overwhelming in ways that are hard to navigate alone. Kimberly creates a space where clients can slow down, feel understood, and begin making sense of their experiences in a supportive and collaborative way.
Kimberly works with individuals (children, adolescence, and adults), couples, and families. She supports individuals in building emotional awareness, developing effective coping strategies, and gaining insight into patterns that may be keeping them stuck. She especially enjoys helping couples and families strengthen connections, improve communication, and navigate challenges together.
She takes a person-centered, trauma-informed, and attachment-based approach, and believes that healing happens through safe, meaningful relationships. Her work is collaborative, integrative, and tailored to each client’s unique needs.
Kimberly offers EMDR as part of her work and integrates approaches such as Person-Centered Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support emotional regulation, deepen insight, and foster lasting change. In her work with couples, she draws from the Gottman Method to help partners strengthen connection, improve communication, and navigate challenges together. When working with families, she helps improve communication, strengthen relationships, and support healthier ways of interacting within the family.
Kimberly values collaboration and meets clients where they are, honoring each person’s pace and lived experience. She brings curiosity, compassion, and authenticity into the therapy room, and is committed to walking alongside clients as they work toward growth and healing.
Outside of the therapy room, Kimberly enjoys spending time with family and friends, caring for her animals, tending to her garden, creating art, and going to live music whenever she can.
